Join us for the 32nd Annual CSA Conference

“Alternative Interpretations of the Circum-Caribbean: Interrogating Connections across History, Society, Culture, and Performance”

May 28 – June 1, 2007 - Salvador da Bahia, Brazil

This year’s conference will take place at the Tropical da Bahia and Sol Vitoria Marina hotels in Salvador da Bahia, Brazil. Our aim is to advance the dialogue among and between scholars and practitioners in efforts to chart a course for the practical engagement of academic researchers with the problems facing the Caribbean region.

By hosting the conference in Brazil, we seek to challenge the popular understandings of the Caribbean by emphasizing the cultural, historical, and social spaces rather than the national and territorial in its conceptualization.

Pre-Registration for the conference is now closed.
